About Me

My photo
Ruth Spencer
Graduated with a 1:1 in Art & Design BA (IND) at the University of Leeds, I love all things playful and tactile. I have experience teaching 1-1 in a hospital environment and as an Artist in Residence at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. In my own practice I work with fabric, mixed media and installation - exploring notions of colour, playfulness, childhood, memory and nostalgia. My main desire is to encourage playfulness within adults and I do this through creating dislocated environments which allude to and immerse the viewer in childlike fantasy worlds.
